The Star Wars saga will continue in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, a videogame developed by LucasArts, which casts players as Darth Vader's "Secret Apprentice" and promises to unveil new revelations about the Star Wars galaxy. The expansive story, created under direction from George Lucas, is set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. In it, players will assist the iconic villain in his quest to rid the universe of Jedi - and face decisions that could change the course of their destiny.
As its name implies, The Force Unleashed completely re-imagines the scope and scale of the Force. The Wii version will not only give you a solid story-line developed by LucasArts involving the Darth Vader's secret apprentice, but you'll experience a new style of gameplay only the Wii can offer. With the Wiimote and Nunchuk you'll be able to battle your way through your enemies utilizing your Lightsaber attacks and Force powers. Not only can you experience this new control system in story mode, but you can also try your Jedi skills against a friend in the Wii, "Battle Mode." Joining the Dark Side doesn't seem like such a bad idea after all.

Game Features:
The Star Wars Saga will continue in 2008 with LucasArts' biggest-ever video game event. Set during the "dark times" between Episodes III and IV, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed portrays the previously untold story of Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice -- and now you can put a face to that mysterious character as well as the major supporting cast members as LucasArts unveils the actors set to star in The Force Unleashed.
With The Force Unleashed, LucasArts not only introduces a new chapter in the Star Wars saga, but also pushes the Wii's game engine to deliver amazing detail and realism only found in a Star Wars title. You will experience gameplay and the Force like you never had before.
Could have been so much more

I was hoping for a game like the old jedi knight series on the pc (outcast and academy) something where the force was a tool as well as a weapon. A game where finding routes through the levels required a little thought and some problem solving. Instead we have a game thats a little too easy to simply hack and slash your way through without really engaging your brain beyond finding interesting ways of finishing people off. Its fun - but it could have been so much more

We have several games for wii, and this one is great !
The only thing that we are sad about is that it doesent have a cooperative mode.
For us, a must buy game for wii, you will be surprised with the graphics and it's very fun to play with the wii comand.
fun to play but its far too short and way too easy

I was looking forward to this game ever since I heard about the new twist of playing as Darth Vaders apprentice. I was quite pleased with the game as I began to play but unfortunately it was overhyped and ended up being slightly disappointing.
The story was decent and the voice acting was well done, the gameplay was fun to begin with but after a while it did become very repetative- there really is no serious thinking involved in this game, mainly just a hack and slash with a saber. I wouldn't have minded this but the level of difficulty on the game is far too easy, even on the higher difficulty levels its not difficult to beat the game which left me wanting a lot more of a challenge.
Also I was dissappointed with the length of the game. I found it very short and completed the game in less than a week without playing it in excess. This may have had something to do with the level of difficulty but its my feeling that if they had put in a couple of tricky puzzles the game would have lasted a lot longer.
Having said all that, the game is enjoyable to play, the wii offers a great feeling of being in control and its always satisfying when you manage to cut down a wave of enemies with a blast of lightning.
Overall an enjoyable game but it was too short and too easy
Disapointing

It for 4 year olds!
far too easy and absolutley annoying becuase it does not save to where you were..... it saves to the beggining of that level...
This is so annoying that I did even bother finishing the game!
Was a little dubious......however not a bad game

I read some of the reviews and was a little unsure about this... however its not a bad game. playability is quite easy - nothing too challenging. Some of the force moves are good but you do feel like the wiimote it not fully syncronised with the light sabre moves you expect to see when swinging the wiimote. Worth a play though... could have been a lot better!
