Heroes on Scifi

SCI FI today reveals Heroes last night delivered the channel's highest-ever rating and best multi-channel Prime Time (adult) position in its 12 year history.

The show, which premiered at 10pm, peaked with a 1.66 TVR (622,766 adults & 4.3% share) and generated the channel's highest programme rating ever and its highest Prime Time TVR performance with a 0.94 TVR & 2.4% share. These results ensured the highest-ranked multi-channel position for SCI FI outside the main terrestrials in Prime Time (20:00-24:00hrs/adults).

Nick Betts, Managing Director, SCI FI commented, "This result is a spectacular way to start the series' run. It more than validates the belief we had in the show the moment we saw it at last year's LA Screenings and reflects the hard work everyone at SCI FI has put into launching it."

Billed as "Lost meets X-Men", Heroes follows the tale of a group of ordinary people who discover they have special powers; powers that will ultimately change the world. It has been an unprecedented hit State-side too, delivering host broadcaster NBC's best new show performance for 5 years, a regular 15 million+ weekly audience and two Golden Globe nominations to boot.
